Cancellation Policy

At The Decorating World, we understand that plans can change. To ensure clarity and fairness for both parties, please review our Cancellation Policy:


1. Cancellation by Client

  • Full Refund Window
    – Cancellations made 14 days or more before the scheduled event date will receive a full refund of any amounts paid, minus a standard administrative fee of ₹500.
  • Partial Refund Window
    – Cancellations made 7–13 days before the event date will receive a 50% refund of amounts paid (after deducting incurred material and labor costs).
  • No Refund Window
    – Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the event date are not eligible for any refund, as we will have already reserved materials and labor for your booking.

2. Cancellation by The Decorating World

While rare, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services for reasons beyond our control (e.g., severe weather, supplier failure). In such cases:

  • We will notify you immediately and offer an alternative date.
  • If rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

3. Non-Refundable Fees

  • Booking Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total package price is required to secure your booking.
  • Custom Materials: Any special-order balloons, personalized prints, or unique décor items purchased exclusively for your event will not be refundable once ordered.

4. Rescheduling

  • Reschedules made 14 days or more before your event date may be transferred to a new date at no additional charge, subject to availability.
  • Requests to reschedule within 7–13 days of the event incur a 10% rescheduling fee.
  • Reschedules fewer than 7 days before the event are treated as cancellations (see “No Refund Window” above).

5. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, civil unrest, or supply chain disruptions. In such cases, we will work together to reschedule or refund as detailed above.

6. How to Cancel or Reschedule

To cancel or reschedule your booking, please contact us in writing via:

Include your booking reference, event date, and reason for cancellation or reschedule. We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and confirm any refund or rescheduling details.
